Detective Scott is a Florida native and the founder of Key Investigative Services, LLC, established in September 2023. She is a licensed private investigator and company owner leading a Texas-based investigative team. She is also a United States Navy Veteran, autism mother, best-selling author of five published books, and mobile notary.
A dynamic and detail-oriented professional, Detective Scott brings several years of experience in corrections, military aviation maintenance, notary public services, and investigative work. Her professional background includes roles that have required a high degree of precision, confidentiality, discretion, organization, and strict adherence to established procedures and protocols.
Detective Scott is skilled in managing high-stakes situations, conducting comprehensive investigations, and executing operational logistics with a high level of professionalism and efficiency. She is adept at leveraging exceptional communication skills to collaborate across departments, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Detective Scott is a Saint Leo University graduate and possesses an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminalistics. She is also a former corrections and booking assistant.
From a young age, Detective Scott had a natural curiosity and a strong desire to uncover the truth. She was the child who wanted to understand the what, when, where, why, and how behind the situations unfolding around her. What began as curiosity would later develop into something much deeper, a passion, a purpose, and ultimately a calling.
Long before Key Investigative Services, LLC was established, Detective Scott was, in many ways, her own first client. During one of the most difficult chapters of her life, she found herself navigating the breakdown of her marriage and the legal challenges that followed, including divorce, child custody, child support, and other deeply personal family matters.
Faced with circumstances that required her to protect herself and her child, she learned how to investigate, document, organize, research, and present clear, concise, and compelling evidence on her own behalf. Through those experiences, she discovered that uncovering the truth was more than something she was good at, it was something she felt called to do.
Her personal victories strengthened her confidence in her ability to identify important details, connect information, document facts, and build evidence that could tell a clear and convincing story.
The idea for Key Investigative Services, LLC was later brought into focus during a conversation with a friend who asked her, “If you were to open your own business, what would it be?” Without hesitation, Detective Scott answered, “Private investigations.”
In that moment, what had already been developing through years of curiosity, personal experience, and perseverance finally had a name. The vision for her own investigative agency was born, and the planning began.
Today, private investigations represent far more than a profession for Detective Scott. They represent her passion and purpose. Her own experience of having to search for answers, gather evidence, advocate for herself, and fight for clarity gave her a unique understanding of what clients may feel when they come to an investigator during some of the most uncertain and emotional moments of their lives.
It is that experience that continues to drive her commitment to helping others uncover facts, gain clarity, and, above all, target the truth.
